The holding is good on mud and sand. Popular anchorages are in the inlet running west from the centre of the cove in 3\u20135 metres depth where you can take a line ashore and\u00a0in the NW corner\u00a0with\u00a03\u20137 metres. One disadvantage of this anchorage is that day tripper boats occasionally moor up overnight amidst revving of engines and shouting. \u00a0It is thus\u00a0<i>absolutely essential<\/i>\u00a0to use a good anchor light here if staying overnight.<\/p>\n<p>There is a \u00a0steady flow of fresh water from an inland spring that keeps the cove cool. \u00a0There is also a sea cave at the SE end of the\u00a0islet\u00a0reachable by\u00a0dinghy.
