The island\u00a0is probably the most secure anchorage in the area of <em>\u00d6ludeniz.<\/em> \u00a0It is sheltered from the prevailing winds by an archipelago of rocky islets and reefs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"avia-image-container-inner\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-737 alignleft\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren1-300x225.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/>A\u00a0cove has been developed by a restaurant on the northern shore into a popular yacht stop-over. \u00a0The restaurant has laid 24 moorings in a crescent around the cove. \u00a0Moorings are close together so it is necessary to take a line ashore (which the restaurant staff will do on arrival). \u00a0Obviously, if you use their moorings, you are expected to eat in the restaurant. \u00a0The set meal is well priced.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"flex_column av_one_half flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding avia-builder-el-3 el_after_av_one_half el_before_av_one_half \">\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section\">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock \">\n<p>In addition, there are three mooring buoys further out where yachts may swing. \u00a0Nearby anchoring is also possible in 14-16 metres, although shelter is not as good and there will be swell from\u00a0winds. \u00a0Some yachts anchor on the south side or on the west side and take a line ashore to the rocks \u2013 although the bottom is sand, weed and\u00a0rocks and not the best holding.<\/p>\n<p>There are church ruins, a few crypts and\u00a0a well-preserved fresco of St. Christopher.\u00a0The crystal clear waters of the bay and the fascinating marine life around the reef make Karaka\u00f6ren a favorite destination for snorkelers and scuba divers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"flex_column av_one_half flex_column_div first avia-builder-el-5 el_after_av_one_half el_before_av_one_half column-top-margin\">\n<div class=\"avia-image-container av-styling- avia-builder-el-6 avia-builder-el-no-sibling avia-align-center \">\n<div class=\"avia-image-container-inner\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"flex_column av_one_half flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding avia-builder-el-7 el_after_av_one_half avia-builder-el-last column-top-margin\">\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section\">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock \">\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-738 alignright\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren3-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"344\" height=\"258\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren3-300x225.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren3-768x576.jpg 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Karacao\u0308ren3.jpg 1417w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 344px) 100vw, 344px\" \/>Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Restaurant<\/li>\n<li>Mooring\/anchoring<\/li>\n<li>No harbour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/one-week-itineraries\/\">Back to One Week Itineraries<\/a> \u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/two-week-itineraries\/\">Back to Two Week Itineraries<\/a> \u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Karaka\u00f6ren Adalari is a tiny island located off the coast, SE of Fethiye and close to Gemiler Adasi.
