{"id":533,"date":"2019-01-04T01:36:55","date_gmt":"2019-01-03T22:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/irmakyachting.com\/blog\/?p=533"},"modified":"2019-03-13T10:51:54","modified_gmt":"2019-03-13T07:51:54","slug":"kalkan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/blog\/kalkan\/","title":{"rendered":"Kalkan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"flex_column av_one_half flex_column_div first avia-builder-el-0 el_before_av_one_half avia-builder-el-first \">\n<div class=\"avia-image-container av-styling- avia-builder-el-2 el_after_av_image avia-builder-el-last avia-align-center \">\n<div class=\"avia-image-container-inner\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-740 alignright\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/dscf5235_r-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"351\" height=\"263\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/dscf5235_r-1024x768.jpg 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/dscf5235_r-300x225.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/dscf5235_r-768x576.jpg 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/dscf5235_r.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 351px) 100vw, 351px\" \/>Kalkan\u00a0<em>(Greek Kalamaki)<\/em> has mushroomed since the 1980s from a former Greek fishing port into a vibrant tourist resort. \u00a0The old town, rising up the slope above the small harbour, is now surrounded by a modern hotels and older houses adorned with bougainvillea, jasmine\u00a0and\u00a0pastel colors \u2013 all providing a unique \u201cKalkan look.\u201d \u00a0The harbour is surrounded\u00a0by bars, restaurants and nightclubs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"flex_column av_one_half flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding avia-builder-el-3 el_after_av_one_half el_before_av_one_half \">\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section\">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock \">\n<p>The harbour is a convenient stop for yachts on passage around the coast between\u00a0Fethiye\u00a0and\u00a0Antalya. \u00a0It is the best port from which to visit the ancient sites of Xanthos and Patara, as well as the natural phenomenon of the Saklikent Gorge. \u00a0Patara Beach, one of the longest continuous stretches of sand in the Med, is nearby and worth a visit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-742\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Kalkan_Kas\u0327-Taraf\u0131-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Kalkan_Kas\u0327-Taraf\u0131-1024x576.jpg 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Kalkan_Kas\u0327-Taraf\u0131-300x169.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Kalkan_Kas\u0327-Taraf\u0131-768x432.jpg 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Kalkan_Kas\u0327-Taraf\u0131.jpg 1417w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/>Yachts moor on the SW quay\u00a0\u2013\u00a0there is room for about 12-14 yachts.
